Did you know our skin-scalp-hair is naturally designed to fight infection and free radicals from the sun/atmosphere and what we put on it?

Did you know it does this by having proper pH levels?

Let me explain a little about pH ... pH has a scale of 1-14, with 1 being the most acidic to 14 being the most alkaline, 7 is neutral. Our skin-scalp has a thin, protective layer on its surface, referred to as the acid mantle. This acid mantle is made up of sebum (natural oils) excreted from the skin’s sebaceous glands, which mixes with lactic, amino acid, ceramides, cholesterol, enzymes, and sweat to create the skin’s pH.

So now that we know what the pH is, I bet you have a question of... what is the optimal pH level of the scalp and skin?

4.5-5.5!

The skin is at its best when it is in its born pH level of 4.5-5.5The scalp is at its best pH as 4.5-5.5, and the hair shaft pH is at its best at 3.67!

When the scalp-skin-hair is at its proper pH levels it will maintain a good barrier with its natural level of sebum, moisture, good bacteria, and a true level of its protective defense mechanism-the acid mantle.

Having your hair, scalp, and skin at its optimal pH balance levels, they will fight off inflammation, acne, irritations of scalp problems, hair dryness, dandruff, and more.

When you are not in the correct pH balanced levels, you’ll find bad bacteria and inflammations that create: eczema flare-ups, fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, baldness, thinning hair, dandruff, rosacea, acne, irritant contact dermatitis, acne, fungal, and bacterial infections.

For your hair and skin to be restored to its born pH levels, you’ll have to use pH balanced products and in return, you will have a healthy scalp, accelerated hair growth, shiny moisturized hair, correct dense hair, healthy acid mantle on your face, glowy skin, plump skin, balanced sebaceous glands/sebum (natural oils)and so much more.
